Serving Our Residents Since 1976

2014 Golf Tournament

The players and partygoers had a wonderful afternoon. Golfers played on the beautiful oceanfront and lakeside fairways and  greens with cool breezes—that affected every shot that went other than where they were intended to go.

Councilmen Dick Kleid, Michael Pucillo and Bob Wildrick supported our tournament by participating and Bill Diamond joined us for the party.

There were gifts for the winners Dwight Stevens, Pastor of the Paramount Church and owner of the historical Paramount Building with his team Tony Bohannon, Michael, Cacazzo and Richard Lubin and the runner up team Ted Scholl, Pete Ellis, Andrew Pfundt and Phil Rubin. All players and partygoers received a Town of Palm Beach Centennial Cap. Rain moved in as the party got started, but that just brought us a little closer under the clubhouse cabana.

We thank the Palm Beach Yacht Club for their continued donation of a one-year membership. The highest bidders Steve and Darlene Grace are greatly appreciated as their donation helps support our Town serving charitable causes.

We also thank the five hole sponsors; South Florida Science Museum, Alan and Susan Horwitz, Dan and Shelia McDonnell, Rita and Bernard Panfel and Ellen Tansey. Thanks to Lee Goldstein, Alan Horwitz, Dan McDonnell, Edi Worthington, Professional Golfer Tony Chateauvert, his staff and especially Austin Terico for making the event such a success. Next year our party will be special at the new Clubhouse by the ocean.

Par 3 Golf Course new clubhouse restaurant - Alfresco

Pizza al Fresco, the popular eatery in Via Mizner, owned by Arlene Desiderio, who also owns Renato's, has been approved by the Town Council to open and operate the restaurant, Alfresco, in the new Par 3 Golf Florida-style Clubhouse, second floor. The 150-seat eatery will open to the public with a full-service bar offering breakfast, lunch, dinner and a to-go service

The outdoor patio restaurant is known for its breezy European atmosphere and casual but elegant menu of omelets, appetizers, salads, sandwiches and burgers, and assortment of thin-crust pizzas baked in a wood-fired oven. The food is fabulous and exciting to the palate. Lee Goldstein, Editor of News & Views said, "It will be wonderful, beautiful and an excellent addition to our neighborhood".
Alfresco is projected to open in early January 2014--ready to service our annual golf tourney.
